What is Topsoil?

Topsoil is a naturally occurring "dark" fertile soil. This is usually the first 30cm of fertile soil which captures all nutrients and natural "compost" (decomposing leaves, etc) that occurs in nature.


  • Improves lower quality soils.

  • Restores soil structure after reduction of natural soil microbes by chemical fertilizer..

  • Increases soil nutrient content and water retention in both clay and sandy soils.

  • Helps moisture retention.

  • Reduces or eliminates the need for inorganic fertilizers.
